Bosses are powerful monsters in Cube World.

Bosses are notably much harder in the Alpha Version.

A Boss monster will require any class to mercilessly maneuver in order to defeat it.

Legendary Bosses are the most difficult as they can't be overpowered.

The Player being defeated in combat can reset enemy HP.

In the Steam Version, if a revival point is close enough to the fight area, enemy HP will not reset when the player respawns.

  • In the Steam Version, more than one boss type monster can appear in a Dungeon.
  • In the Alpha Version, there is usually only one boss per Dungeon.

Bosses can have several regular monsters nearby.

Bosses come in two varieties: unique monsters like the Yeti and Cyclops or named versions of other monsters.

Field Bosses are large named versions of normal monsters with no missions or quests attached.

Example: a larger than normal mole with a name is a field boss.

A Series of Bosses are always encountered in any Dungeons. Multiple map locations designated as Missions will spawn a Boss on the final fight.

In the Alpha Version, Boss monsters can drop Spirit Cubes.

Loot Drops[ | ]

All enemy drops are generated randomly upon enemy strength, therefore there are no exact drops to any exact monster except enemy specific items like Parrot Feather and Onion Slices.

Items like armor, weapons, formulas and food are randomly generated loot drops per enemy that are not definite.

A boss monster may guarantee a Spirit Cube but it does not guarantee what type it is.

Example: if a boss drops a Fire Spirit, when fought again it could drop a Wind Spirit.
